Things to do (in Regensburg)

Regensburg (Ratisbon) is one of Germany's oldest towns, and was known to be an important political, economic, and intellectual center of the Middle Ages. The town's dated existence begun around 500 B.C. before becoming a Roman military post in 179 A.D. It escaped the wars with no major damage, and is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Germany.  The old town of Regensburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is best explored by foot.

How to get from Munich Airport to Regensburg?

Munich airport is around 50 minutes by car from Regensburg. The easiest way to get to Regensburg is to use the Airportliner car/minibus transfer, which will drop you directly at your preferred hotel/accomodation address. It can be booked on this website: airportliner.com

A less convenient but cheaper option is taking the bus to the near train station and then the train to Regensburg. Travel time is around 1 hour 45 minutes. Link to Deutsche Bahn.
